Many people tell adults that they shouldn’t play with children’s toys. It’s a fact that lots of adults like to play with adult versions of kid’s toys. Of course, there are other things to be concerned with before racing the boat. Fuel handling procedures have to be followed so that the danger of a fire or explosion is avoided. That is a very bad thing, especially when nitrous fuel is involved. Its not that gas is any less flammable but nitrous tends to burn a little quicker and hotter. After all while gas is used to fuel vehicles nitrous is used to boost performance when combined with gas, so it’s no wonder it burns quicker.
Mishandling of fuel at any stage from storage, to fueling to usage can cause problems. This isn’t to discourage you from using nitrous fuel, just pay attention, use common sense, follow the instructions, and be cautious around all flammable materials. Generally it is people who refuse to follow these simple guidelines when handling these substances that end up getting hurt.
Enjoying nitro remote control boats can be a lot of fun though. Racing can be great but just driving your boat on the lake for fun is a good time. If you can’t go out on the open seas you can use one these little radio controlled monsters to get a great boating experience. Using the term monster is quite literal as some of the high end boats display unreal performance and power and can also be up to four feet in length.
In closing, racing nitro RC boats can be a fun sport or pastime activity. Always be sure to be careful and follow all the safety tips and rules to the letter so you do not get hurt. The last thing you want to be doing is to be taking your son to the ER because he was watching you fuel your boat and you had a cigarette lit.
